2 St. Patrick’s Day facts You Probably Didn’t Know!

Fun facts about this green, pinch-anyone-not-wearing-green day!

There are 2 leaf clovers, 3 leaf clovers, and even one with 14 leaves! (The 14 leaf clover is currently listed in the Guinness World Records book for the most leaves on a clover ever discovered!)

But why do the Irish favor 4-leaf clovers? It’s because the Irish favor four key values for life: hope, faith, love, and luck.

Those values are in that order of priority! In other words, number one is to have hope then faith, love comes third and last is luck. What do you think of that?

This is probably the most mind boggling! Yet at the same time it makes perfect sense.

Ireland has had a very rich and colorful history of conquests, lack of food, national persecution, and their fight for independence. All these things happened at the same time, forcing many Irish to move to America.

Also, Ireland itself is a small island country and America is huge in comparison. This means more people in America have Irish ancestry than there are people in Ireland!
